A hundred people learn about Ibiza's agroecological farms with the programme of visits promoted by Apaeef this autumn.

Today concludes the last of the visits planned for this autumn, which will take place this morning in Can Puvil, in Sant Josep de sa Talaia.

Previously, visits have been made to the Ses Cases estate, in Sant Llorenç de Balàfia, Terra Viva in Sant Antoni de Portmany and Juntos Farm in Santa Gertrudis.

This programme of visits has been financed thanks to the support of the Agricultural and Fisheries Guarantee Fund of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Government of the Balearic Islands, as well as with a part of our organisation's own resources.

The main objective of this initiative has been to show the work of farmers and ranchers who are part of APAEF and who have the organic production certification granted by the CBPAE (Regulatory Council of Organic Production of the Balearic Islands).

From our organization we have intensified efforts to make "ecolocal" products known  among consumers, show the fields where they are grown and produced and, at the same time, generate greater awareness about the importance of a more sustainable diet.

One of the aspects that has been highlighted in all the visits has been the way in which agricultural soil is worked and how these practices contribute to the mitigation of climate change and the increase of agricultural biodiversity.

The visits have also made it possible to offer tastings made from seasonal organic products available on each farm.

Taking into account the great demand registered in this activity, APAEEF is already working on the organization of a new agenda of visits to other farms, scheduled for next spring, which will once again be possible thanks to institutional collaboration.
